Higher education at state and public universities is free of charge in the Czech Republic for domestic and international undergraduate students but only in Czech language. For studies in any other foreign language (English or Russian or other), public and private institutions charge tuition fees.
If you would like to get a free education in the Czech Republic, you have to learn Czech. The Prague school of foreign languages Metropol is able to help you to acquire the language skills required for a Bachelor or Master degree.
Our goal is to assist all our students in choosing a degree program and prepare them for college entrance exams.
In order to meet the general entry requirements for bachelor or master’s level studies, you need to submit the following documents:
- Application for admission (you may submit completed form to the relevant admission area before March)
- Secondary school leaving certificate nostrified by Czech authorities (for more information please check “Nostrification” section on our website)
- Czech language state exam certificate (the exam is conducted twice a year, in spring and autumn, for additional information please check “Exams” section)
- Your entrance exam results (You can use preparatory courses offered by the "Metropol" language school in order to prepare yourself for college entrance exams).
